Senior Pressure Relief Valve Specialist

The Senior Pressure Relief Valve Specialist will possess advanced skills and a comprehensive understanding of the operation principles of
pressure relief valves. This position entails responsibilities for the installation, connection, maintenance, testing,
adjustment, repair, troubleshooting, inspection, and replacement of safety and relief valves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill all additional responsibilities of a Pressure Relief Valve Technician at lower levels
- Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to junior technicians
- Conduct final quality assessments of valves and associated equipment
- Analyze and interpret testing reports
- May take on supervisory responsibilities
- Possess extensive knowledge of relevant code standards
- Demonstrate fundamental sales capabilities
- Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Skills & Competencies
- Meets all qualifications and requirements for Pressure Relief Valve Technicians at lower levels
- Proficient in responsibilities associated with Pressure Relief Valve Technicians I & II
- Successful completion of all relevant Quality Standardization Procedures
- Obtained Green Tag Certification through Level III
- Completed QC/CI assessment
- Passed Pressure Relief Valve Level III Written and Performance Tests
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with pressure relief valves
- Experienced in training Pressure Relief Valve Technicians at lower levels
- Thorough knowledge of leading manufacturers' safety and pressure relief valve lines
- Skilled in basic machining operations using a lathe for nozzles, discs, and spring washers
- Basic OSHA and TWIC certification (if required)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated proactive attitude and exceptional customer service skills
- Team-oriented with a willingness to guide others
- High energy, detail-focused
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety regulations, and operational instructions
- Sound judgment with decision-making capabilities when issues arise
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in team settings
- Strong safety record and knowledge of safety protocols
- Willingness to work overtime as required to meet customer needs
- Proven reliability and dependability
- Supervision:
- Operates largely independently with minimal oversight
- Must be able to travel and maintain a clean driving record in compliance with company driving policies
- Successful completion of background checks and drug/alcohol screenings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Capable of adjusting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds in various directions
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds over a distance of 100 feet
- Physical agility for bending, stooping, walking, and climbing
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Capability to maneuver in tight and confined spaces
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, either standing or sitting
- Mobility to move between different worksites
- Effective communication skills for information exchange
- Repetitive motion capabilities involving wrists, hands, and fingers
- Experience operating machinery and power tools
- Ability to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Competence in assessing the accuracy and thoroughness of assigned tasks
- Physical abilities as mandated by customer or regulatory requirements
- Able to maintain body weight while performing dynamic tasks (offshore)
