Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker Assistant to join our team. As a Boilermaker Assistant, you will assist in the construction, assembly, maintenance, and repair of stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. You will work closely with our experienced Boilermakers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the alignment and assembly of boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints and instructions from senior team members.
• Use hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles to assemble and install boiler components.
• Assist in testing assembled vessels to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
• Clean and maintain boiler equipment, including fireboxes and pressure vessels.
• Assist in the inspection and repair of boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, and automatic-control mechanisms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior team members.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience as a boilermaker helper in an industrial setting.
• Valid Driver's License or ID.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this job include:

• Regularly lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
• Frequently lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Using hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Working Conditions

This job requires working in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The employee must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
