Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Avante at Leesburg, Inc. in Leesburg, VA. The successful candidate will assist in the assessment, treatment, and program planning for residents, working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the evaluation process, identifying indications for and assisting in evaluations at appropriate intervals.
  • Conduct individual and group treatment as assigned, adapting techniques and media as needed.
  • Maintain acceptable resident care ratios and provide treatment in accordance with established standards of practice.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement programs and adhere to established confidentiality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff, maintaining positive relationships and rapport.
Requirements
  • Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by the supervising therapist.
  • Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.
