Key Responsibilities:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily store functions while ensuring compliance with company policies. This position involves direct supervision of staff, optimizing store profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer service and store presentation.

Primary Duties:

  • Complete daily financial documentation and submit to the accounting department by noon.
  • Conduct daily bank transactions by noon.
  • Manage daily cash flow, including ATM and Lottery funds, ensuring accurate deposits.
  • Maintain precise fuel inventory records and report discrepancies.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, motivate, and manage cashier/sales associate personnel, utilizing appropriate documentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld.
  • Order and receive stock in accordance with inventory management guidelines.
  • Conduct inventory audits.
  • Maintain compliance documentation.
  • Monitor fuel levels and coordinate deliveries.
  • Verify invoice accuracy against vendor charges.
  • Operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Implement company promotional strategies.
  • Guarantee a superior shopping experience for all customers.
  • Manage inventory discrepancies to remain within 1% of sales.
  • Control cash discrepancies to $100 or less monthly.
  • Review cashier documentation for accuracy.
  • Adhere to company image standards and participate in image assessments.
  • Report maintenance issues and unusual occurrences to management.
  • Maintain pricing records and oversee security operations as applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and numerical tasks for documentation.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting of items weighing 1 to 15 lbs.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to reach above shoulder height and bend below the waist.
    • Capability to navigate all areas of the store efficiently.
    • Ability to move swiftly throughout the store.
