About the Role

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will be part of a team that develops cutting-edge technologies to change the way billions of users interact with information and each other. Our products require handling massive amounts of data, and we're looking for engineers who can bring fresh ideas from various areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for our products, such as Maps, Earth, and Google Maps Platform.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, and adapt content based on product updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues, debug, and resolve problems by analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
  • Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with iOS application development.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.
What We Offer

As a Software Engineer III at Google, you will have the opportunity to work on a specific project critical to our needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as our business grows and evolves. We offer a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors.
