Job Title: Social Worker

The Social Worker is a vital member of our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center, responsible for providing social work services to customers affected by illness, disability, or lifestyle adjustment difficulties. This role requires a deep understanding of utilization criteria, case management principles, and relevant community resources, insurance, regulatory, and legal system knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and utilize case management principles to provide effective support to customers.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate psychosocial and skill-building groups to promote customer well-being.
  • Provide individual and family supportive advocacy to address customer needs and concerns.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive customer care.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of community resources, insurance, and regulatory requirements to provide informed support to customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field such as Psychology or Human Services.
  • Two years of experience in social work, medical crisis intervention, and community resources, or a related field.
  • BLS Certification through a reputable organization.
  • Completion of a patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of NASW code of conduct principles.
  • Age-specific competencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Good knowledge of community resources.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $47,500 - $75,800.
