Cabot Corporation is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Ville Platte, Louisiana. As a key member of our capital projects team, you will be responsible for developing and executing capital projects that meet scope, cost, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute capital projects to meet scope, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure projects are executed with a high regard for safety during design and construction.
  • Manage engineering contractors to obtain complete, accurate design and specification packages for bidding and construction.
  • Manage construction contractors to ensure safe, quality, on-time, and on-budget project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project status reports to measure progress to completion.
  • Ensure projects follow chemical industry Process Hazard Analysis requirements, Management of Change, Design Safety Review, and Pre-Startup Safety Review processes.
  • Implement the 6-phase methodology for capital projects and ensure full CMS compliance.
  • Develop and maintain project files and documentation.
  • Ensure projects follow the defined elements of Process Safety Management (PSM).
  • Communicate Lessons Learned and Best Practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing projects in a chemical or related industry or at an engineering management company.
  • Site supervision in a construction environment is preferred.
  • High level of proficiency with project controls (cost & schedule) programs.
  • Strong software understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, and AutoCad.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting methods and systems.
