Job Overview

Cockram Construction, a renowned global construction services provider with a legacy spanning over 150 years, is in search of a committed Scheduler to enhance our operations in the United States. Our focus lies in delivering exceptional services across high-tech and demanding sectors, particularly within the Pharmaceutical/Bio-Tech and Themed/Attraction industries.

The Scheduler will play a pivotal role in crafting, overseeing, and sustaining project timelines utilizing Microsoft Project. This position is essential for ensuring adherence to project schedules and promptly addressing any discrepancies. The role necessitates onsite presence, facilitating daily collaboration with the project team. A background in the pharmaceutical sector is crucial for grasping the specific scheduling needs and regulatory considerations inherent to this field.

Location: Onsite work is required. Only candidates who can fulfill this requirement will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and refresh project schedules through Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to collect essential information for detailed schedule creation.
  • Track project advancement and adjust schedules to accurately reflect current progress.
  • Identify and evaluate potential scheduling delays and risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with diverse teams to ensure synchronization with the overall project timeline.
  • Prepare regular updates on schedule status, including critical path analysis, earned value metrics, and schedule variances.
  • Conduct schedule reviews and audits to guarantee accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Assist in the development of schedule-related presentations for internal and client discussions.
  • Provide insights on the implications of changes and adjustments to project timelines.
  • Ensure all scheduling practices comply with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Support the project team in resource allocation and workload management based on the project schedule.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Project.
  • Strong grasp of scheduling principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with critical path analysis and earned value management.
  • Background in the pharmaceutical sector with knowledge of regulatory and compliance mandates.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams.
  • Aptitude for analyzing complex schedules and providing actionable insights.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
