Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing patient concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
- At least six months of experience in surgical specialty or two years of surgical technician experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team.
