We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments with precision.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and properly sterilized.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care, anticipating and responding to the needs of patients and surgeons.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and ensuring a smooth transition between stages of care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, documenting patient information and surgical procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
- At least six months of experience in surgical specialty or two years of surgical technician experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
