We are seeking a qualified Nurse Assistant Instructor to join our team at the San Diego Community College District. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of healthcare.
Responsibilities- Teach and develop curriculum for Nurse Assistant courses
- Provide instruction and guidance to students in a classroom and clinical setting
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in healthcare education
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of two years of experience as a licensed nurse, with at least one year of experience in a long-term care setting. You must also have a current and valid California Registered Nurse license or Licensed Vocational Nurse license. Additionally, you must have experience planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs in nursing.
Preferred QualificationsPossession of a California Community College Instructor Credential in Health and Physical Care Services and Related Technologies is highly desirable. You should also have experience working with diverse populations and have a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Working ConditionsThis is a part-time, temporary position with variable hours depending on assignment. You must be available to teach on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
