Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Security Officer to join our team at First Mid Bancshares, Inc. As a key member of our Enterprise Risk Management department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective physical security programs to protect our employees, customers, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for security expectations and requirements across all locations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to security coordinators to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Assign and verify completion of applicable on-site robbery prevention and physical security training.
  • Manage and report on security incidents and threats.
  • Develop and oversee collection of physical security reporting requirements.
  • Develop and monitor KRI metrics and risk trends for reporting to management and committees.
  • Oversee the overall physical security strategy, including growth and maintenance of the physical security program.
  • Maintain working relationships with security vendors and manage security-related technology and equipment.
  • Respond to security issues and events, and remediate associated help desk tickets or alerts.
  • Chair the Physical Security Working Group and prepare reporting to management committees and the Board of Directors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or information systems preferred or commensurate banking experience.
  • 5+ years financial services/banking experience required, including 3+ years experience in risk management and/or physical security.
  • A high level of interpersonal and analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
