Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clients within a residential program.
  • Utilize the Youth Development System to assess developmental needs.
  • Provide direct oversight under the guidance of the Residential Supervisor, including task assignments and skill teaching.
  • Monitor and report any unusual behaviors, employing proactive crisis intervention techniques.
  • Maintain discipline and order, implementing consequences and crisis intervention strategies as trained.
  • Facilitate group discussions in accordance with the Youth Development System.
  • Organize and engage in recreational activities that align with developmental objectives.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including monitoring notes and incident reports.
  • Assist with the administrative aspects of the intake process for new residents.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

A High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with adolescents is preferred, particularly in a residential setting. A valid Florida driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands a high level of physical activity, including the ability to run, jump, bend, and stand for extended periods (2+ hours), as well as the capacity to lift and carry over 50 pounds. Travel may be required for training and transport purposes.
