Position Overview

Role Summary: We are seeking a talented Frontend and Backend Web Engineer to become a vital part of our technology team at AugmentJobs. This role involves the creation, coding, and enhancement of websites and web applications, ensuring they meet project requirements from design to functionality. The ideal candidate will possess a robust knowledge of both frontend and backend development technologies, along with experience in content management systems and online retail solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with project leads, designers, and fellow developers to grasp project needs and convert them into effective technical solutions.
  • Build responsive web interfaces and applications utilizing contemporary frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and popular frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Create and manage backend services and APIs using server-side programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, PHP/Laravel).
  • Incorporate third-party services and APIs to enhance website capabilities and improve user engagement.
  • Guarantee cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and performance optimization for all web projects.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of web applications to identify and rectify technical issues and bugs.
  • Update and maintain existing websites and applications, including content revisions, feature upgrades, and security enhancements.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to transform design prototypes into functional web interfaces.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, web standards, and best practices in the field of web development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (equivalent experience and certifications may be considered).
  • Demonstrated experience as a Web Engineer or in a similar capacity, with a strong portfolio of web development projects.
  • Expertise in both frontend and backend programming languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel).
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
  • Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
