We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions. As a Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Medical Care: Examine referred patients, conduct daily infirmary visits, and ensure thorough documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or on approved forms.
- Lead Clinical Teams: Supervise and instruct healthcare personnel, respond to emergencies, and consult with medical specialists and professionals to deliver high-quality care while adhering to established policies and standards.
- Collaborate with Health Services Administrator: Improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement initiatives, including Chronic Care Clinics, pharmacy service monitoring, and liaison with community healthcare providers.
- Develop and Implement Clinical Policies: Review and approve treatment protocols, clinical policies, and disaster plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Ensure Clinical Oversight: Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee, make recommendations to enhance patient care and safety, and provide clinical oversight to ensure the highest level of care.
- Education: Medical school graduate.
- Experience: Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure within the State of employment, maintain a current DEA number, and be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
