Position Summary:
ANDT Inspection, a SOCOTEC Company, stands as a premier provider of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) services, holding FAA certification as a Repair Station. We offer cutting-edge NDT, inspection, engineering, and integrated services across the United States. Our NDT Inspection services encompass:
- Radiographic Testing (RT) - including Gamma, X-Ray, Under Insulation Corrosion Testing, and Digital methods.
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) - featuring Wet, Dry, Visual, Fluorescent, Direct, Yoke, Prod, Coil Techniques, and Bench methods.
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - including Phased Array, Lamination, Thickness, and Corrosion Mapping.
- Pentrant Testing (PT) - both Fluorescent and Visual methods.
- Remote Visual Testing (VT) - compliant with AWS, ASME, and API standards.
- Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) - specifically for Tube Testing.
- Positive Material Identification (PMI) - focusing on Alloy Analysis and Positive Metal Identification.
- Eddy Current Testing (ET) - covering ECT, MFL, RFT, Tube and Surface Inspection, Material Sorting, and Conductivity of Material.
Key Responsibilities:
The Principal Level III Technician will engage in hands-on Nondestructive Testing and Examination (NDT/NDE) at various customer locations. The technician will execute applicable NDT methods including Radiography, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Visual testing. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing the integrity of inspected items in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications, and reporting findings to designated personnel.
- Supporting associated tasks such as job preparation, coordination, mobilization/demobilization, and reporting as directed by the supervisor.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety and quality protocols, laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Taking ownership of personal and overall job site safety, halting operations if unsafe conditions arise.
- Conducting routine safety observations and inspections.
- Preparing equipment and conducting job walkdowns and procedural reviews as required.
- Performing hands-on NDT/NDE work while interfacing with customers and guiding Technician Assistants/Apprentices.
- Ensuring compliance of work and materials with manufacturer and customer specifications.
- Completing necessary job reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Level III certification (ASNT preferred).
- Minimum Level III certifications in Radiography, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic, and Visual methods.
- Level III Eddy Current certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- A solid understanding of mechanical concepts and spatial relationships.
- Knowledge of basic algebra and trigonometry.
- The ability to read, comprehend, and prepare technical specifications and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in basic software and Outlook for generating service reports and internal communication.
- A valid driver's license, which must be maintained.
- Evidence of previous certification or completion of ASNT recommended training programs for applicable methods.
