EEG Technician

NYU Langone Health System is seeking a skilled EEG Technician to join our team. As an EEG Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine EEG studies and associated administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine EEG studies and adhere to laboratory guidelines for impedance testing and montage selection.
- Clean electrodes and maintain equipment.
- Participate in conferences related to EEG in the department.
- Review studies performed with supervising physician on a regular basis.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for each patient, including those required for department statistical and billing purposes.
Requirements:
- High School diploma required.
- Current and valid BLS or CPR Certification required.
- ABRET American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists EEG certification within 5 years of hire.
- 1 year performing EEG studies or completion of an accredited or formalized program or a bachelors degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate s Degree.
- Completion of an accredited program as defined by ASET The Neurodiagnostic Society.
