Siemens Healthineers is currently seeking a Traveling Cardiac Catheterization Technologist for an exciting opportunity.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Traveling Cardiac Catheterization Technologist, you will be integral to the Healthcare Systems & Services sector, performing a variety of clinical, technical, and administrative tasks daily. Your responsibilities will include:
- Verifying patient identification, medical history, diagnoses, and procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cases.
- Providing pre and post-procedural patient care.
- Preparing for procedures, managing supplies, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with care standards.
- Assisting in sterile procedures as per physician preferences and established protocols.
- Operating Interventional Angiography Systems in designated suites.
- Setting up and managing additional procedural equipment.
- Ensuring quality control and safe operation of the Angiography System, adhering to ALARA principles and notifying the physician of any intra-procedural dose thresholds or equipment issues.
- Promoting radiation safety among team members, including proper use of lead aprons and dosimetry badges.
- Participating in room turnover, patient transfers, terminal cleaning, inventory management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Performing additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an interventional or invasive clinical environment.
- Clinical competency in Invasive Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Hybrid, Interventional Radiology, Neuro Interventional, and/or Vascular Surgery Hybrid.
- Proficiency in operating Angiography Equipment, with preferred experience in Siemens ARTIS C-arms.
- A solid understanding of Advanced Imaging techniques, including acquisition, post-processing, reconstruction, and 3D DynaCT features.
Licensure and Certification:
Required:
- Valid Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with Cardiac Interventional (CI) or Vascular Interventional (VI) preferred.
- Valid State license (or eligibility to apply).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Candidates should be able to interact with patients, clients, and team members in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner. Flexibility, reliability, sound judgment, and initiative are also highly valued.
