Job Summary

Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Goodyear, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with advanced tasks or equipment during surgical procedures.
  • Work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment, applying good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve organizational service goals.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, review patient charts, and report abnormal results to physicians and other care givers.
  • Formulate and initiate plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plans.
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are available and the operating room is set up appropriately.
  • Document surgical procedures in patient records, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Participate in OR turnover between cases, stocking, replenishing supplies, and cleaning operating rooms.
  • Assist with training and orientation of surgical staff and students, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • One year of operating room experience in the acute care setting.
  • Preferred experience in a Level 1 trauma OR setting.
