Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Maine Medical Center - Portland. This is a unique opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma center with a high volume of complex cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment
  • Participate in the scrubbing of multiple specialties, including Neuro, Robotics, General, GU/GYN, Peds, Trauma, and Vascular
  • Meet the requirements for Level 1 trauma experience and ability to scrub multiple specialties
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Level 1 trauma experience and ability to scrub multiple specialties
  • Ability to work 3-12 hour shifts, 7p-7a, with 1:4 weekend rotations
  • Flexibility to work overnight call, 11p-7a, for Trauma call
Preferred Qualifications
  • General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, ortho joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular experience
Work Environment

Maine Medical Center - Portland is a 26-bed operating room with a high volume of complex cases. The team is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
