About the Clinical Technician 2 Position:

As a Clinical Technician in the Float Pool at Inova Loudoun Hospital, you will provide direct care to patients with routine and standardized care requirements, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Clinical Technician 2 Float will float to various units, including Med/Surg/Tele, Critical Care Units, Emergency Room, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and Postpartum.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program, and/or 2 years of nursing school. The candidate must be able to attend a 6-week training orientation upon hire.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to patients with routine and standardized care requirements
Communicate effectively with health team members, patients, and families
Assist unit leadership with overseeing Clinical Technician education records
Maintain competencies and seek opportunities to develop professionally
Identify own learning needs based on self-evaluation and progress made from previous year's goals

Shift and Schedule:

12 hour Night shift, 2 days a week
Part-Time, Days vary

Requirements:

BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills required

Training:

Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire
