Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves the thorough disinfection and sanitization of all processing areas, as well as executing Clean in Place (CIP) and Clean out of Place (COP) procedures for equipment and components that come into contact with products, ensuring the utmost safety and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Conduct daily and periodic cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization of all processing areas, including windows, walls, floors, and machinery.
  2. Maintain the cleanliness of all assigned equipment and utensils, reporting any malfunctions or requesting replacements as necessary.
  3. Ensure timely and proper cleaning of all equipment to uphold a safe food environment and guarantee product safety and quality.
  4. Operate all CIP systems and perform COP tasks as required.
  5. Complete necessary routine paperwork and data entry as directed.
  6. Adhere to established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and disinfection protocols.
  7. Monitor and report any potential equipment malfunctions or issues.
  8. Ensure compliance with food safety, quality protocols, GMPs, and safety regulations at all times.
  9. Perform additional related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

PROCESSES INVOLVED:

  1. Cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing all processing areas and equipment.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

INTERNAL: Collaborate with all processing areas, including but not limited to Processing, Filling, Mixing, and Quality Control.

EXTERNAL: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

The position requires moderate walking, standing, and climbing; heavy lifting and carrying; stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors, around machinery with moving parts, and in environments with dampness and humidity. Must be capable of lifting weights of approximately 55 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience in material handling.
  3. Ability to handle chemical fluids/substances.
  4. Physical stamina is required.
  5. Training in Good Manufacturing Practices and hazardous material handling may be provided in-house.
