Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Morgan Truck Body LLC. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating a variety of welding equipment, working primarily on aluminum, steel, and galvanneal materials.

About the Role
  • You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality welds and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Your attention to detail and ability to read blueprints will be essential in producing accurate and reliable results.
  • As a senior welder, you will also have the opportunity to train junior and entry-level welders, sharing your expertise and knowledge with the team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operating a range of welding equipment, including industrial saws and heavy machinery.
  • Welding metals according to customer or employer requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Installing lift gates, walk ramps, and platforms, as well as examining equipment after welding and advising maintenance on defects.
  • Planning and setting up welding operations before beginning work.
  • Reading blueprints and welding according to the plan.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in welding, with proficiency in three or more of the following materials: mild steel, galvanneal, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel.
  • Able to pass a weld test and possess basic math skills, tape measurement, and computer literacy.
  • Basic experience with hand tools and the ability to understand and comprehend measurements.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications.
  • Must be 18 years old and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
