Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Roadway Testing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field testing and inspections to ensure the quality and integrity of highway materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications.
  2. Review blueprints in preparation of field observations on construction sites.
  3. Document field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and their conformance with (or deviation from) project plans and specifications.
  4. Use daily Metafield, and/or other field and laboratory information management systems, for recording of testing results.
  5. Communicate field and laboratory testing results with Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management staff, general contractors, and clients.
  6. Calibrate field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials, and RTT Certification and/or airport density testing experience. You should also be able to lift 40-50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
