Cleans guest rooms in the resort to meet total customer satisfaction and established standards. Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Cleaning all assigned area (rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens) according to established housekeeping standards and procedures.
• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in rooms the proper way.
• Cleaning upholstered furniture, carpets, and draperies when needed.
• Dusting furniture, washing walls, ceiling, baseboards, and woodwork.
• Empting wastebaskets, and empting and cleaning ashtrays.
• Replenishing all guest room supplies to the established pars.
• Sorting, counting, folding, marking, and/or carrying linens to make beds.
• Assisting in laundry if needed.
• Reporting any maintenance requirements immediately to the inspector of your assigned section.
• Turning in all Lost and Found articles to the lost and found room with proper information indicated on packaging.
• Rending personal assistance to patrons.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Attending scheduled training seminars and department meetings.
• Incorporating safe work practices in job performance.
• Keeping immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and taking prompt corrective action where necessary or suggesting alternative courses of action which may be taken.
• Maintaining a favorable working relationship with all other company associates and purveyors to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate, which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Performing all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
• Maintaining a professional standard at Glade Springs to include but not limited to: appearance, verbal discussions, written correspondence, and interactions with members, associates, and guests. Does not discuss confidential items with fellow associates or work-related issues with members or guests.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Prior experience or training in cleaning is required.
• Willingness to work and be a part of a team is essential.
• Able to work varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.

The compensation for this position is $11.00/Hr. - $12.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
