Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at I-State Truck Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine conditions

  • Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding repairs
  • Ensure quality control work performed to meet customer satisfaction
  • Meet requirements for certifications
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with diesel engines and large trucks
  • Good work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability
  • Excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product
  • Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus
