We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Northwestern Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including adult ICU, pediatrics, emergency room, and special care nursery/NICU.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement treatment plans in accordance with department and hospital protocols.
- Provide care for patients requiring ventilator assistance, complex respiratory devices, and procedures.
- Monitor and interpret clinical data necessary for the delivery of quality patient care.
- Consult with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to promote consistent quality and delivery of patient care.
- Document patient responses to therapeutic interventions and progress toward outcomes.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board of Respiratory Care
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) - Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (within three months of hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics
- Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS) - Respiratory Therapy
