Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to work as a Travel Cardiac Catheterization Specialist. As a key member of our cath lab team, you'll be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating X-ray fluoroscopy equipment, and monitoring patient safety during diagnostic tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the cath lab environment for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and tools are sterile, functional, and properly set up
  • Assist in the preparation of patients, including setting up monitoring equipment and ensuring proper positioning for optimal procedure results
  • Handle sterile instruments, such as catheters, balloons, and stents, during the procedure, ensuring correct placement and maintaining a sterile field
  • Operate X-ray fluoroscopy equipment and assist with imaging during diagnostic tests, such as angiograms, to visualize blood vessels and heart function
  • Monitor patients for immediate complications after the procedure, such as bleeding, changes in vital signs, or signs of infection

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to stay focused in high-pressure situations. You should also have experience working with medical equipment and a strong understanding of radiation safety protocols.
