Job Overview

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking Temporary Recreation Staff to join our team in the Student Union Activities & Rec(Adm) department.

Salary Range: $10.00/hour or higher, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Job

This temporary part-time position will provide general customer service and reception to patrons, assist with equipment and programming needs, and perform maintenance and cleaning tasks. Additionally, staff may be required to teach classes or provide direction for patrons during activities, ensuring a safe environment within the facilities assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and reception to patrons.
  • Assist with equipment and programming needs, including setup and tear-down.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Teach classes or provide direction for patrons during activities, as needed.

Requirements

  • American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or higher, depending on job-specific needs).
  • Availability to work up to 40 hours per week, with varying schedules.
