Sentara Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator to lead the delivery of nursing care in our Behavioral Health Unit. As a clinical leader, you will demonstrate expertise in nursing practice and provide guidance to staff to ensure exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to simplify workflow and improve efficiency
- Contribute to the development of staff and promote a culture of excellence
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered care and a focus on customer satisfaction
- 18 months of nursing experience required
- BSN degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty
- Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire
- Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred
