Job Title: Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator to join our team at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and coordinating the delivery of nursing care in our 7N Admission/Discharge Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care.
  • Coordinate admission and discharge processes to ensure smooth transitions for patients.
  • Develop and implement safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff on best practices and new technologies.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina or Virginia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • At least 18 months of nursing experience, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
