We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Electrical Engineering courses at Delaware Technical & Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction, evaluating student learning, and fostering student success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments, to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Evaluate student learning through various assessment methods, including exams, quizzes, and projects, to ensure students meet course learning objectives.
- Provide individualized support to students, including office hours, email, and phone support, to ensure students succeed in the course.
- Stay current with developments in the field of Electrical Engineering and incorporate best practices into course instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assess student learning, and improve instructional methods.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Four years of relevant experience in teaching or industry.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
- Knowledge of competency-based learning and assessment.
