SALES ENGINEER

JET Technologies, a plastic fabrication company in Elkhart, IN specializing in custom CNC machining, thermoforming and assembly, is actively seeking a self-motivated and engaging individual to join our growing Sales team as an Outside Sales Engineer. This position will be responsible for the management of established accounts as well as proactively seeking new accounts to maintain current growth while providing outstanding service and support. This is a salaried position with a commission incentive as well as an exceptional benefits package.

Requirements

v 5+ years of successful sales &/or engineering experience, preferably in the plastics industry

v High level of mechanical & technical aptitude

v Understand QMS systems as it pertains to customer requirements

v Knowledge of plastics applications and processes

v Sales/customer knowledge, negotiating skills, confident, performance driven

v Engineering/technical mindset is required

v Understand CAD drawings & 3D models

v Ability to analyze and make recommendations on manufacturing of proper product for specific applications

v Must have the ability to travel up to 2 weeks per month

v Strong verbal and written communication skills.

v Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Teams as well as other virtual meeting platforms.

v Demonstrate exceptional teamwork and customer service

v Regular, reliable attendance as well as the ability to work outside regular hours as necessary

 

Essential Functions

 

v Proactively search, identify, and obtain business opportunities with new and existing customers

v Able to understand customers’ new product development requirements and accurately communicate the scope of the project to engineering and manufacturing team.

v Support RFQ’s with design scope and details (utilizing engineering talents)

v Create and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers

v Serve as the primary, face-to-face representative of JET Technologies to the customer

v Correctly identify customer’s needs to ensure that expectations are met while understanding the manufacturing process

v Take immediate action on any customer issues to ensure retention of business and perform additional follow-up as needed

v Interact with customers on a regular basis

v Maintain communication with customers regarding procedures, pricing, and lead time

v Regularly communicate with engineers and plant management to determine design requirements, production timeline and any other matters related to customer requests
