Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safe operation and routine upkeep of the ice arena.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute positively to the overall experience of visitors by maintaining cleanliness and order within the facility.
  • Utilize various cleaning agents and solutions effectively.
  • Guarantee the pristine condition of Sharks Ice.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently during operational hours and enforce all relevant policies.
  • Be knowledgeable about emergency protocols related to equipment and evacuation procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a positive demeanor and self-motivation.
  • Ability to comprehend and execute both verbal and written instructions.
  • Willingness to learn the operation of ice resurfacing machinery (a valid California Driver's License is required).
  • Capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the role, including kneeling, bending, sweeping, mopping, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment.
  • Must not have allergies to the cleaning products used.
  • Availability for shifts that may extend into late night and/or early morning hours.
  • Ability to operate basic janitorial equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and hand tools.
