Position Summary

TCC invites applications for the role of Psychology Professor on a tenure-track basis. This full-time position involves teaching courses from our Psychology curriculum, including Research Methods. The selected candidate will engage in efforts to enrich our curriculum and diversify course offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction in General Psychology, Research Methods, Lifespan Development, and Human Sexuality.
  • Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance program and curriculum development.
  • Participate in the design of new courses that reflect a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Support a diverse student body through effective teaching strategies and meaningful feedback.
  • Engage in service to the college through committee participation and professional development.
  • Advise and mentor students in their academic and career pursuits.
  • Contribute to departmental and institutional governance.
  • Actively participate in equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of psychology students from historically underrepresented groups.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in a diverse educational setting.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to integrating equity and diversity into the curriculum.
  • Experience with instructional technology and online learning platforms.
  • A strong dedication to student success and mentorship.
