Part-time Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our financial operations. This position involves intermediate-level accounting functions and reports directly to the CFO.

The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist in various accounting tasks to support our organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily recording of vendor invoices and serve as the lead liaison for all vendor relationships
  • Prepare accounts receivable invoicing
  • Maintain detailed expense records and assist in ordering facility and front office supplies when necessary
  • Record bi-weekly payroll and reconcile general ledger to ADP quarterly reports
  • Maintain fixed assets and insurance schedules
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closings as needed
  • Organize resources and deliverables to meet intended goals and outcomes effectively
  • Respond to challenges with possible solutions in a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
