LPN - Ambulatory OB/GYN Specialist

Job Summary:

The LPN works under the general supervision of the Practice Supervisor, an Ambulatory RN or other licensed provider to deliver excellent patient care, completing the duties and responsibilities of the position while complying with the HIPAA and CVPH confidentiality policies.

Key responsibilities include managing patient flow, supporting physicians to ensure efficient use of their time and minimizing patient wait time, and performing operational and quality/risk management duties according to regulations and protocols.

Requirements include a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing, current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State, and AHA-BLS certification within 6 months of hire or current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to date of renewal.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Above average spelling and memory skills
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and medications
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, providers, patients and external customers
  • Above average organizational skills
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum amount of supervisory direction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous obstetrical nursing experience
  • Previous OB/GYN office experience
  • Previous experience in urodynamics
