AAS Locum Tenens seeks a dedicated Anesthesiology Physician for locum tenens coverage in Plattsburgh, New York. This opportunity offers a unique blend of professional challenge and work-life balance.
About the RoleThis position requires an experienced physician to provide anesthesia services at a local medical facility. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a high-volume caseload, with a focus on orthopedic and general surgery cases. Additionally, the physician will be responsible for managing obstetrics (OB) cases as needed.
The schedule will involve 24-hour call shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with first and second call rotations. While primary responsibility is first call, second call duties are rare after 7:00 PM. During weekends, call responsibilities alternate between first and second call to ensure continuity of care.
The successful candidate must be able to respond within a 15-minute timeframe for all calls. The facility features nine main operating rooms (ORs), and shifts typically run from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional on-call coverage as agreed upon.
Requirements- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- License: Eligible for licensure in New York State
