Railcar Preparer Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Railcar Preparer to join our team at Pacific Rail Services. As a Railcar Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing railcars for loading new vehicles at our Spring Hill, TN rail terminal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect railcars for defects and repair as needed
  • Clean railcars using a backpack blower
  • Inspect chocks, doors, decks, and grates for proper function
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying schedules
  • Meet safety and quality standards
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background check and drug test
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50lbs
  • No GED or high school diploma required
