Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician Lead to join our team at M. C. Dean. As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing electrical maintenance activities, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and execute electrical maintenance activities, including preventative and predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and warranty work.
  2. Supervise and lead electrical maintenance technicians to ensure electrical maintenance is completed safely, on schedule, and within equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
  3. Act as the first line of supervision to the electrical crews, providing guidance and support as needed.
  4. Read and interpret complex technical instructions, plans, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  5. Perform troubleshooting, testing, and inspection of electrical systems and equipment.
  6. Ensure compliance with safety policies, practices, and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
  7. Collaborate with electrical maintenance technicians to identify and resolve electrical system issues.
  8. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal system performance.
  9. Perform other related duties as requested.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED, coupled with an Electrical Journeyman license or a Technical Degree/Certificate in a related field.
  2. A minimum of five years' experience in facilities maintenance with a thorough understanding of electrical systems, controls, generators, and life safety systems.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to efficiently schedule and execute work in a dynamic environment.
  4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions, plans, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  5. Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NETA maintenance practices, maintenance and supply procedures, and quality control procedures.
  6. Ability to evaluate complex electrical systems, perform damage assessments, estimate maintenance, parts, and manpower requirements, diagnose malfunctions, and employ testing and inspection techniques.
  7. Ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
  8. Ability to work in confined spaces and on ladders, and to lift equipment over six feet above ground.
  9. Must conform to all city, state, and federal licensing and certification requirements.
Working Conditions

The Electrical Maintenance Technician Lead will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to electrical systems, equipment, and tools. The position requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of weather conditions.
