POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To proficiently assemble electronic devices, components, and systems, including the soldering of surface mount and through-hole electronic elements onto printed circuit boards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Articulate the quality policy and objectives, your role in maintaining quality, and the implications of not adhering to quality and customer standards. 4.
Accountable for communicating the quality policy and objectives, your role in quality assurance, and the consequences of non-compliance. 5. Interpret work orders, adhere to production schematics, and reference sample assemblies. 6. Position and align components according to specified relationships within printed circuit boards, element assemblies, and integrated circuits. 7. Execute soldering tasks in accordance with IPC standards, encompassing both through-hole and surface mount techniques. 8. Set up and operate wave soldering machinery. 9. Assemble products following routing guidelines. 10. Install assembled subcomponents as necessary. 11. Connect or route component lead wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. 12. Install completed assemblies or subassemblies into enclosures. 13. Conduct on-line go/no-go inspections to verify that parts and assemblies conform to specifications and standards. 14. Perform computerized testing as required.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in language, mathematics, and reasoning abilities. Experience in soldering techniques such as through-hole and surface mount technology. Capability to utilize small hand tools and operate assembly machinery, including wave solder machines, small drill presses, torque drivers, and component bending and cutting machines. Basic skills in brazing, soldering, and induction assembly may be necessary. General machining of basic components (sanding, punch press) may also be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to grip and manipulate tools and components for assembly; repetitive lifting of materials/parts weighing 5-10 lbs; forming parts and executing fine manipulation; rotating and twisting wrists and hands.
