Job Summary:
The Field Planner is responsible for planning maintenance jobs while ensuring the right people are involved and providing information in job packages for the crafts to complete their daily jobs successfully with minimal re-work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the scope of work for every job, ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Determine the most effective way to complete work, preparing job packages in SAP that include all necessary resources.
- Record tasks and information within the work order, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Comply with organizational maintenance work process and planning standards, using feedback from craftsmen and operations to optimize and archive job plan packages.
- Collaborate with the Work Coordinator to determine the correct number of craft persons and hours required to complete operational steps.
- Utilize archived job plans and field visits to develop new job packages, identifying and soliciting safety information and requirements.
- Consider constructability, maintainability, and cost when developing job plans, ensuring they meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Support the Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include necessary procedures, and follow the Management of Change (MOC) protocol for developing and approving new procedures.
- Review PM order closure reports for completeness and accuracy, ensuring work requiring an MOC is identified and the MOC number is included in the Work Order header Short Text.
- Act as the focal point for materials, assisting the Marshaller with understanding material needs on job packages.
- Check that job procedures include safety, health, and environmental considerations and control measures to ensure safe execution of work activities.
- Address issues with service providers impacting productivity and scheduler attainment, ensuring the Procedure Use Policy and safety standard requirements are met.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of craft maintenance experience, maintenance planning, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment required; chemical plant experience preferred
- Proficiency with SAP strongly preferred
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills, with good written and verbal communication
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
- Must possess a valid US driver's license
