Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at New Story Schools. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and families to promote fine motor, perceptual motor, self-care, sensory integrative skills, and play activities, as well as neuromuscular function.

This is a full-time position, approximately $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, working in a special education setting. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of child development, and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and other professionals.

• Implement individualized IEP goals and objectives for students
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to design and implement occupational therapy services
• Utilize verbal non-violent crisis intervention techniques as needed
• Maintain daily billing logs with services provided in relationship to IEP guidelines
• Travel to other school locations, as necessary

• Valid PA Occupational Therapy Assistant professional license
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, and other personnel involved in child's educational/behavioral program
