Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our special education team at New Story Schools. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping students with autism or emotional/behavioral disorders achieve their full potential.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans that promote fine motor, perceptual motor, self-care, sensory integrative skills, and play activities.

• Implement individualized IEP goals and objectives to promote student progress
• Design and implement occupational therapy activities tailored to meet student needs
• Collaborate with the student's multidisciplinary team to design and implement services
• Demonstrate appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques
• Maintain occupational therapy supplies and equipment

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A valid PA Occupational Therapy Assistant professional license
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
