Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform interior custodial duties, including mopping, dusting, and vacuuming, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Operate mechanical floor cleaners to polish, buff, strip, and wax floors, and vacuum and shampoo carpets.
  • Perform exterior custodial/maintenance duties, including snow removal and picking up litter, to maintain the appearance and safety of our facilities.
  • Remove waste and soiled linens from work areas and gather and dispose of trash and waste, some of which may contain hazardous materials.
  • Clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls, including those in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, locker rooms, and weight rooms.
  • Restock supplies and maintain a well-stocked inventory of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Move, remove, and relocate furniture, furnishings, equipment, and other items as directed.
  • Order supplies and equipment repairs, as authorized by supervisor.
  • Observe all common safety practices and follow established protocols for handling hazardous materials.
  • Perform minor maintenance repairs, such as unstopping toilets and sinks, and replacing burned-out light bulbs.
  • Patch and paint walls as needed.
  • Operate scissor lifts and other equipment as required.
  • Assist in training and checking the work of other employees.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and take direction is essential.
  • Valid Class R Driver's License required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications within 90 days of hire.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other allergens. The ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds and stand for long periods is also required.
