Gateway CSB PEO LLC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Peer Specialist to join our team in a community integration program designed to support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting self-determination, personal responsibility, and empowerment in the recovery process.
Key Responsibilities- Provide structured activities and peer support to promote socialization, recovery, wellness, self-advocacy, and community living skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Document services accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with agency standards.
- Meet productivity standards, including minimum direct time requirements and daily attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification by the Georgia Certified Peer Specialist Project.
- Minimum of 40 hours of CPS training.
- Mental health and/or forensic certification preferred.
This role operates in a variable business setting with trips into the community. The Certified Peer Specialist will be required to travel between Gateway sites and in the community. The physical demands of this role include frequent walking, sitting, standing, and occasional climbing or balancing.
