About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Architecture and Design: Develop and maintain the governance model on database architecture through training, design reviews, code reviews, and progress reviews.
  • Business Strategy Alignment: Participate in the development of database architecture and roadmaps in support of business strategies.
  • Data Storage and Utilization: Determine how the enterprise's data will be stored and utilized to best provide actionable data to the end user.
  • ETL Process Development: Work with internal and external resources to develop robust Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes for disparate data sources.
Technical Qualifications
  • Data Modelling and Architecture: Develop and maintain data models and architecture designs.
  • Cloud Data Experience: Have at least 5+ years of experience working on solutions that collect, process, store, and analyze large volumes of business-critical data.
  • ETL/ELT and Data Integration: Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory.
  • Azure Data Analytics: Design and implement Azure Data Analytics solutions using Azure Data Components like ADF & Power BI.
  • Azure Data Lake Storage: Have a solid understanding of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) & ADLS Gen2.
  • Data Pipeline Design: Have at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing data pipelines using ADF Tasks & Data Flows.
  • Cloud Migration: Have experience migrating data from on-premises to cloud environments.
  • Database Management: Have strong proficiency in relational database management systems (MS SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
  • Cloud Costing: Understand the costing model of Azure resources.
