About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vacuum Truck Foreman to join our team at Centuri Group, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of vacuum excavation and utility location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate underground utilities using vacuum excavation techniques
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and costs
  • Perform routine maintenance on vacuum trucks, including lubrication, fueling, and cleaning
  • Complete and ensure accurate record-keeping paperwork

  • Maintain industry-required Operator Qualification certifications
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CDL A or B Driver's License required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Laborer in the gas utility industry required
  • Adequate understanding of vacuum excavation, utility location, and operational functionality of vacuum trucks
  • OSHA Competent Person Certified, OSHA 10 preferred
  • Knowledge and skill in using technology such as laptops and tablets
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and desire to keep crew safe and compliant

Work Environment

Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions. All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English. Work includes prolonged and repeated lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling. Work is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipment. Working safely requires quick and accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

  • This position is safety-sensitive and covered under the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations, 49 CFR Part 40
