Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team at an exceptional school district in Frederick, MD. As a contract Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students of various age levels, from Pre-K to High School, and provide individualized support to help them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and small group settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
  • Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in state of practice
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be asked for proof upon hire. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
