About the Opportunity:

DMI is seeking a Senior Database Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our database management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational reliability, integrity, and performance of our production databases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all production databases' operational reliability, integrity, and performance.
  • Perform back-up and recovery of existing databases, performance monitoring, and tuning.
  • Perform database installations and upgrades and ensure the security of confidential data.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions along with periodic maintenance, fixes, and patches of databases.
  • Perform business needs analysis, write reporting requirements, and turn requirements into delivered solutions.
  • Assist users in writing complex queries and reports.

Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • At least three years of experience using current DBMS technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems, and experience with DBMS internals.
  • Must have five years of experience in DBMS systems analysis and programming.
